Donated Car Put to Use!

As faithful followers of Christ discover, “God is good, all the time.” One of our graduates from earlier this year has remained faithful in her personal discipline and lifestyle choices. She has worked hard, stabilized her life financially, and created good supportive community. She had been given a vehicle by Titus 2 with over 350,000 miles, an older model Honda CRV that had been donated to Titus 2 by a family member of Cathy Byrd a couple of years ago. As of this week, a newer Toyota Camry has been donated to Titus 2 and this young lady has been able to “trade up” to something significantly newer, very clean and well maintained. It was donated by a generous Titus 2 supporter. Many thanks to Bill at Eurasian Garage, 738 Airport Rd., whose knowledgeable service and repair professionals checked the car out for us before turning it over to her. Eurasian Garage’s new owner, Dr. Bo Bergloff, provided a new battery and replaced 2 tag light bulbs for the vehicle when those were found to be the only things requiring immediate service on the vehicle. Titus 2 thanks this business for its support of our goal to have women who have completed Titus 2’s program provided quality, affordable (or FREE) vehicles for work and family needs. The young lady will be able to put 2 new tires on it and have it aligned in the near future and she will have a quite nice “new to her” styling ride! So happy for you, Mary! The Honda CRV is coming back to Titus 2 to provide a “starter car” for yet another student in the near future. We’ve nicknamed it the Boomerang Honda as it just keeps going and going, returning to Titus 2 to be “repurposed”, and will now provide job transportation to a third student in the near future!
