Friday the Titus 2 ladies were on the way about 6:30 a.m. to meet a couple of volunteer instructors at the Panama City Mall for an early morning walk. On the way, they experienced a tire blow out on the ministry’s car in front of the Florida State Trooper Station on County Road 2321, near U.S. Hwy 231. The station was not yet open to the public, but Trooper Deorant was arriving for work and graciously took time to help them by putting the spare tire on for them. Needless to say, the effort left him a bit less clean and starched than he would usually report for work.
The ministry had replaced two tires on the car last year when it was first received and today Mellanie Couillette and her crew at Road Mart in Lynn Haven replaced the other two tires. The students then went to Publix’s Deli and got a sub sandwich tray for Trooper Deorant and his team at the station as a thank you, delivering it about 10:45 a.m., in time for lunch.
The troopers appreciated the ladies’ expression of their gratitude for the early morning help. We are blessed to have public servants who are never too busy to get their hands dirty to assist others.
